Exterior Painting

Built for Colorado weather.

High-altitude sun, hail and freeze-thaw cycles are hard on paint. Exterior work here is mostly preparation: getting the surface clean, sound and sealed so the finish has something to hold on to.

What’s included

What we take on.

Siding

Wood, fiber cement and engineered siding washed, scraped, primed and coated.

Stucco and masonry

Trim, fascia and soffits

The edges that take the most weather, scraped back to sound material and sealed.

Doors and garage doors

Front doors, garage doors and shutters finished to match or to stand out.

Caulking and sealing

Gaps at windows, doors and joints sealed to keep water out.

Minor wood repair

Soft or damaged boards flagged and dealt with before paint goes over them.

Approach

How we handle it.

01

Wash

Dirt, chalk and mildew removed so new paint bonds to the surface, not the grime.

02

Scrape and repair

Loose paint scraped, bare wood primed, failed caulk replaced.

03

Protect

Windows, roofing, concrete and landscaping masked and covered.

04

Paint and inspect

Applied in the right conditions, then walked with you from the curb to the back fence.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

When is the best time to paint an exterior in Northern Colorado?
Late spring through early fall is the main season. Paint needs the surface and the air warm and dry enough to cure, so work is scheduled around temperature swings and afternoon storms.
How do I know my house needs repainting?
Look for fading and chalking on the sunny sides, peeling or cracking paint, bare wood, and caulk that has pulled away from trim and windows.
Do I need to be home while the work is done?
Not for most of it. The crew needs access to the exterior, water and power, plus a walkthrough with you at the start and at the finish.
